It is an excellent condenser microphone for echo-free, clear, pure and vibrant sound recording for voiceovers of YouTube videos, gaming, Zoom business calling, podcasting, or recording of vocals. You can use it with your laptop or computer to use with any application. For example, you can use it to make a call on WhatsApp.

Minimum OS requirement for this microphone is Windows 10 or Mac version 10.12. It also works on Windows 11 PC.
How to connect the Rode microphone for podcasting?
For professional podcast, you can connect, up to four microphones with your PC in easy way. For that purpose, you can download Rode Connect, a free software from Rode website.
You can monitor sound recording, with zero latency, by connecting your headphone at the backside panel of microphone.
Is it capable for noise reduction?
Yes. Rode NT Mini will cancel the nearby noise, for example the noise of road traffic or the noise of running fans. It has built-in sound compressor, noise gate and internal pop filter behind its metal grill on front. It will perform best when you talk through its front panel, making it perfect for background noise reduction. Please note if you speak from the sides of mic, it will not reduce nearby noise.
You can push the round button (on front) to turn ON headphone monitoring. You can rotate it to adjust headphone playback volume. Please note that for this to function, your headphone should be connected with microphone.
How to Mount the Rode NT Mini microphone on a stand?
Please note that a table stand comes with the microphone.
Microphone easily attaches itself with table stand, owing to a strong magnet in the base of stand - as shown in our video demo.
You can also mount this microphone on a studio boom stand. Just remove the rubber connector from its bottom and replace it with provided metal screw.

Please note that a boom stand stand is not the part of product package. You can independently purchase a boom stand from your nearest camera accessories shop. Make sure that the spigot of stand matches with screw hole of the microphone.
Use of microphone is easy and simple. Just plug the cable into microphone and your PC, you are ready to record your sound clip.
How to record sound with Rode NT USB Mini microphone?
You can directly record sound or voiceover in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere or Filmora. We do it in FilmoraPro. Simply select New in FilmoraPro and voiceover box will popup. Here, you can also adjust the input volume. Now hit record button and after recording, the recorded sound clip will appear in the editing timeline. The sound will also be saved in assigned folder in your device.
You can also record in any other dedicated sound application. For example, click START key on your computer, scroll down the list of apps, to select Voice Recorder.
You can playback with in the app. You can hit record button to start recording.
What if There is No Sound in Rode Microphone?
In case, you are unable to hear, sound of recorded clip. You can troubleshoot it with simple tweak.
Just open computer settings. Click System and then select Sound Settings.
Here your Rode NT Mini microphone will appear in INPUT field which means, this setting is fine.
But in the OUTPUT field, we will see two options, as our headphone is attached to microphone and our speakers are also attached to the computer, but we can listen only one sound at a time. So, if you had selected speakers in the output field, you will Not be unable to hear headphone monitoring. If you want to turn ON headphone playback, just select its option in the OUTPUT field here.
