Find a Specific Info on Web Pages and Documents
You can use the ‘Find’ feature on several online pages as well as offline documents. It is helpful for quick scanning of the information on a page.
Search a Specific Word on a Web Page
First, open any website in browser.
On either desktop computer or a mobile phone, click three dots … on top right corner of any browser screen.
Note: This method works in all browsers including Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
A search box will pop up on to of computer as well as on mobile screen.
Just enter any word in the search box, you want to find on the website page. Browser will highlight all instances of the same word. Use the ‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ arrow keys to see all instances of the specific word
Pro Tip: On computer or laptop, you can also open the search box by tapping Ctrl + F keys on keyboard. You can also do it by pressing F3 key, located in top line of keys on keyboard.
Find Specific Information in PDF Documents Quickly
You can also use the ‘Find’ feature in PDF documents, whether online documents opened in a browser or offline PDF documents saved saved in your PC.
Simply press Ctrl and F keys at once and you will be able to find specific info in a PDF document.
Search a Particular Info in MS Word and Google Docs
When you press Ctrl + F keys on keyboard on desktop, a Search Box opens on the left side in Microsoft Word and on top of screen in Google Docs.
Just enter an alphabet or a word to quickly find it.
Please note that on mobile phone versions of these apps, a ‘search’ icon always appears on top of screen when you open a document.
Search a Specific Page in Canva
You can use the same feature in Canva. Just press Ctrl + F and find a specific design (photo or video) in whole document.
Please note that for effective working of this ‘Find’ tool in Canva, either your query should be written in text box on a photo design or it should be present in the page name.
