Secure Passwords in Google Chrome on Windows PC - Two Simple Steps

Imagine an unwanted situation, when you leave your computer chair for a few minutes and some guest in your home/office (with bad intentions), hurriedly goes to your computer seat in your absence and steal passwords for your vital business accounts.

To prevent this, before leaving your computer seat, press ‘Windows logo key + L’ to temporarily lock your computer. When you come back, you can resume your work by just unlocking your device with your device pin.

To create your device pin in Windows PC, click StartSettingsAccountsSign-in optionsWindows Hello Pin.

Note: The settings path is same in Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC.

Google call it a passkey to authenticate your access into password manager..

Anyone else will be unable to view, copy, edit or steal your Chrome passwords, without Windows Hello Pin.

Sign into your Google account then open https://passwords.google.com/ website and click on Settings button. Here, turn ON the toggle button, next to Password alerts.
