This keyboard uses a phonetic QWERTY layout, which means the keys are mapped to the sounds of their English counterparts (e.g., 's' for 'س'). This on-screen keyboard features voice typing (Speech-to-Text) in both Arabic and Urdu voice recognition. It also provides translation for typed text between Arabic and Urdu. Whether on a desktop or a mobile device, you'll find all the tools you need for writing; It makes it easy for Arabic to Urdu typing, or Urdu Arabic typing. How to Use the Keyboard

Typing and Switching Languages

The keyboard defaults to the Urdu layout. To switch between Urdu and Arabic, simply click the اردو/عربي button. The keyboard layout, text direction, and placeholder text in the text area will update automatically.

Using Shift and Caps Lock

• Shift: Clicking the Shift key gives you access to a secondary layer of characters. In Urdu and Arabic modes, this reveals important diacritics (Tashkeel / Aerab), common phrases, and symbols. The Shift key deactivates after one use.

• Caps Lock: In English mode (if you were to add it), this would lock uppercase typing. In the Urdu/Arabic context, it functions like a momentary Shift.

Special Characters: Shift and AltGr Keys

The Shift Key Layer

When the keyboard is in Urdu mode, pressing Shift provides quick access to common Islamic phrases and words:

• سلام: Types the full greeting السلام علیکم

• کلمہ: Types the Shahada, لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ

• دعا: Types the Istirja, إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

• Other keys provide quick access to words like اللہ, محمد, علی, اسلام, قرآن, and آمین.

When in Arabic mode, the Shift key provides a full set of Arabic diacritics for correct vocalization, including Fatha ( َ ), Dammah ( ُ ), Kasra ( ِ ), Shadda ( ّ ), and the Tanwīns ( ً, ٌ, ٍ ).

Both modes also include currency symbols on the Shift layer: PKR, ﷼ (Riyal), and د.إ (Dirham).

The AltGr Key Layer

The AltGr key unlocks a third layer of symbols on both the Urdu and Arabic keyboards, perfect for technical and professional writing. This feature turns your keyboard into a powerful tool for any task.

• Common Symbols: © (Copyright), ® (Registered), ™ (Trademark), ° (Degree), ¶ (Paragraph), ± (Plus-Minus).

• Fractions: ¼, ½, ¾.

• Mathematical Symbols: × (multiplication), ÷ (division), ∞ (infinity), √ (square root).

• Greek Letters: Ω (Omega), α (alpha), β (beta), π (pi).

• International Currencies: € (Euro), £ (Pound), ¥ (Yen), ₿ (Bitcoin), $ (Dollar), C$ (Canadian Dollar), A$ (Australian Dollar), ¢ (Cent).

Voice Typing (Speech-to-Text)

1. Click the Microphone (🎤) button to start voice typing.

2. Your browser may ask for permission to use your microphone. Please click "Allow".

3. The status message will show "Listening..." Start speaking clearly in your selected language.

4. Your spoken words will be converted into text.

5. Auto Punctuation (Auto Punct.):

   • Click the "Auto Punct." button to toggle this feature on or off. The button will turn dark green when active.

   • When active, after each voice input segment, the keyboard will automatically add a full stop (۔), followed by a space. This helps in quickly forming sentences during voice typing.

Language Recognition

The speech-to-text engine is configured for specific dialects to improve accuracy.

• Urdu Mode: Uses language code ur-PK for Pakistani Urdu.

• Arabic Mode: Uses language code ar-SA for Saudi Arabian Arabic.

• Fallback: If your browser doesn't support a specific dialect, it will automatically use a general language model (ur or ar) to ensure the feature still works.

Translation and Other Tools

• Translate: Type your text and click the Translate button for an instant عربی سے اردو ترجمہ (Arabic to Urdu translation) or vice-versa in a new tab.

• Text Management: Use Undo, Redo, Copy, and Clear All to manage your text efficiently.

• Navigation: Use the arrow keys, Home, and End for precise cursor control.

• Emoji Keyboard (😀): Click the smiley face to access a full emoji panel for adding expressive characters to your text.

Important Note for Mobile Users:

On mobile devices with the Google Translate app, clicking "Translate" might open the installed app instead of the web page, and it may not pre-fill your text. To work around this, click "Copy" first to save your text, then "Translate," and paste it in the app.
